Metal Stamping & Fabrication for Firearms
Firearms manufacturing requires superior precision. If even the smallest part doesn’t fit or function like it should, the weapon itself will, at best, fail—the “worst case scenario” can be far worse. Tempco has been serving the firearms industry for over six decades.
We hold a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and Tempco's quality management system is certified to AS9100D standards, ISO 9001:2015 certified and ISO 13485:2016 certified. We are regular participants and exhibitors at the annual NSSF SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
Precision Metal Stamping & Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication for Firearms
From magazines and clips to brackets and collapsible stocks to Tommy gun ammo drums (made using the Thompson Company’s original manufacturing hardware), Tempco can produce the high quality, high precision metal parts you need for firearm manufacturing. We make parts for handguns, rifles, shotguns, and heavy artillery. Our metal stamping and sheet metal fabrication expertise allows us to deliver parts that consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
We utilize advanced equipment, operated by an experienced, highly trained staff, to create custom stamped and/or fabricated metal parts with the tight tolerances and perfect dimensions firearms require. We work with materials as thin as 0.003”, and can maintain tolerances within ± 0.001” for internal features and ± 0.003” for external features. Small- to medium-volume production runs are our specialty, and we take pride in our quick turnarounds and exceptional repeatability.
All our stamping tools and dies are made in-house by our skilled toolmakers. This helps ensure that all hardware matches our customers’ design specifications and meets our own high standards of quality. Our in-house tool and die shop also reduces production times, as there’s no waiting for finished tooling to arrive at our facility.
Tempco works with cold rolled steel, stainless steel, titanium, and other common firearm materials; specialty metals and alloys can be sourced upon request. We keep a substantial inventory of sheet metal materials in a range of sizes on hand to meet your requirements; we will also work with customer-supplied materials.
Tempco can also provide the secondary services your parts require, eliminating the need for further processing on your end and saving you time and money on your project. Our value-add processes give you more complete, ready-to-use parts (or as close to ready as possible). With all these services available from a single source, we are your one-stop shop for precision metal stampings and sheet metal fabrications. We do more of the work so you don’t have to!
