Tool & Die Programmer

Job Summary
• Checks layouts, drawings, sketches, and design print data.
• Schedules work for EDM and CNC machines.

• Prints out instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide the set up and operation of the machines.

• Provides daily oversight of machine operators.

• Follows up on job deadlines.

• Orders tools such as punches, cutters, springs, holders, etc.

• Maintains cutting tool inventory control for the Tool and Die room.
• Develops new processes for machining and programming.

• Attends internal and external meetings regarding current and or future jobs.

• Liaison with vendors for new cutters and procedures.

• Ensure that all ISO9001 procedures relevant to the job are being followed.

Skills and Experience
• Associates Degree or technical certificate in a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with computer assisted design software.
